Who is Cecilia Johansson?

Hey There

I was born and raised in a small village called Bjuv, in the south of Sweden, where I now live with my partner and two very different, but equally fantastic, children. I am a trained district nurse, and currently working both as a school nurse and an author.

I have been writing professionally since 2021, when my debut novel; Whispers of the hidden Realm (Den vilsna världen), the first part of an YA fantasy and adventure trilogy, was published. The following year, 2022, the sequel; "The legends live". (Sägnerna lever) was released and in 2024 came; The fountain of knowledge (Kunskapens källa), the third and final part.

In 2024, I also published; "Those who rest in silence" (De som vilar stilla), a standalone paranormal suspense novel for young adults.

I write for mixed ages, based on where the inspiration takes me. So far, the focus has been on young adult stories, but I hope to soon share adult suspense novels and happy little adventures for the little ones, as well.

Already as a child I dreamt up stories with my imagination, but they stayed hidden in my notebooks, and only got shared when writing esssays at school.

The desire to write has always been there, but it wasn't until the end of high school, when a substitute swedish teacher encourage me to take my writing "one step further", that the idea of one day becoming a writer was awakened.

I've developed my storytelling and writing quite a bit since then, and the exciting world of language and the creative zeal I discovered at a young age still lives on.

Creativity attracts me in all its different forms, and I'm also inspired and fascinated by the spirit world, the occult and the supernatural. I love good food, but I'm not fond of cooking it myself, and I try to find more time for meditation and reflection in my daily life.

I have an adventurous side with a passion for traveling and discovering and experiencing new things, everything from a fascinating insect to diving with whale sharks or throwing myself into a bungy jump. Although, I am a little bit more cautious and not as fearless now as when I was young. Come to think of it, I might skip the bungy jump-part today ...

If I had unlimited time, I would also have worked in animal welfare and perhaps ventured into the world of film and theater. And if I have to choose between summer and winter, I'll pick summer.
